Title
Internacia: halfmaandblad ter internationalisatie der Vlaamsch nationale beweging = Internacia: Halbmonatschrift zur Internationalisierung der Flämisch-nationalen Frage = Internacia: semi-monthly review for internationalisation of the Flemish national movement
Description
*Internacia* was first published as a reaction to the celebration of Belgium's 100th anniversary. The paper took an anti-Belgian and pro-Flemish stance. As stated in the first issue: "realize that the 100th year of Belgium's existence is also the 100th year of Flanders' oppression." With the newspaper in the hands of communist sympathizer Emile Ilegems, the articles in *Internacia* had a fascist and anti-federalist tone. From October 1930 *Internacia* had its own publishing house of the same name. From 1932, the paper called for one strong leader figure and considered the federal state obsolete. Strongly anti-Jewish and anti-socialist contributions also appeared in *Internacia*.
