Title
De Leie: katholiek Vlaamsch weekblad voor het arrondissement Kortrijk
Description
*De Leie* was a Catholic weekly newspaper published for the district of Kortrijk. Several prominent West Flemish figures founded the paper, including Flemish nationalists Paul-Felix Beeckman and Michiel Vandekerckhove. *De Leie* published ideological articles with a pro-Flemish and conservative slant. With phrases such as "the self-defense of Flanders and the foundation of the corporatist construction of our popular community," the newspaper made clear that its focus was on federalism and corporatism.
